Wedding Portrait

This was for the 45th wedding anniversary of my childhood neighbors. The Mrs used to babysit my sister and I. I really like these photo cakes. It makes them very personal and all her boys are on there with her.

Finding Memo

So, this was a 100th birthday cake for my friend Erica's great-grandma, who they call Memo, which I love because I called my own granny Meemaw. I really loved the colors and the simple design. I also made the birthday girl her very own mini-cake, covered in handmade fondant roses.

Mini Sushi Platter

This cake was actually a dummy that went on top of a larger cake that the bride provided. They wanted cherry blossoms on the sides and a mini tray of sushi on the top. The bride was adding two origami animals that would be eating the sushi. I don't have pictures of it completed yet but I hope to add them.

Here was the tiny tray of sushi:

Here is the cake as it was finished on my end. I believe the cake it was going on was a fairly simple white cake.

Canadian Bacon

I wanted to incorporate all the things that this client loved about her life in this cake including her family and her hometown of Toronto (actually Hamilton). I love doing cakes where I get to make little tiny fondant accents. I included some close up shots of the elements.

Pottery Barn

This cake was for a bicycle loving potter who plays handball. That's a strange lot to make into a cake but I think this worked out really well. I loved how the colors came out and the client was very happy.
