I've decided to include a sketches here and there so you can see how close (or how different) a cake turns out from idea to dessert. Sometimes I know exactly what I want and other times is a see how it goes process. This one was pretty close.

This was a garden fairy cake for a little girl's 1st birthday.





This is probably one of my favorite cakes.

Going In Circles

In case you're wondering, that's a tiny fondant onesie with a drum set on it. I love this cake.

Wedding Portrait

This was for the 45th wedding anniversary of my childhood neighbors. The Mrs used to babysit my sister and I. I really like these photo cakes. It makes them very personal and all her boys are on there with her.

Finding Memo

So, this was a 100th birthday cake for my friend Erica's great-grandma, who they call Memo, which I love because I called my own granny Meemaw. I really loved the colors and the simple design. I also made the birthday girl her very own mini-cake, covered in handmade fondant roses.
