Blame Canada!

This was a Canadian themed cake for a corporate event. Each tier represents a different "area" of British Columbia with the bottom layer representing the city, the middle a snowy forest and the top is the mountain peak with a tiny ski chalet.

Al's Florida House

So, this cake was for my best girl Liz's dad Al. He and Liz's mom have a house in Florida that they stay in most of the year and thought it would be nice to immortalize it in cake for his birthday. There are lots of private jokes in this cake that I won't get into, but I hope he enjoyed it. This was honestly one of my favorite cakes to make and to look at. The elements were all super fun and I learned lots of new techniques to use in the future.

"Superheroes"

So, this cake was the second one for my friend's grandson. He wanted his favorite superheroes. Obviously, this cake was a gift and isn't for sale because of those pesky licensing issues, but it's pretty dang cute.

Paulie the Penguin

This was for my friend's grandson. He likes a penguin named Paulie so we made him this wee tiny cake just for him.

Castles Made of Sand

This was an sand castle for my friends Rob and Gwen. They got married in Mexico and wanted to recreate the beachy atmosphere for their reception here. Everything on and around this cake is edible, including the sand.

It's a nice day for a.........

....white wedding cake. It was actually an anniversary cake, but it's very much wedding appropriate. The tiers are spaced and edged with hand made white sugar roses.
