The is a hybrid birthday/Easter cake for my bud Louie. Those are all individual cakes stacked around a cake core and they're a mix of chocolate and butter cakes with vanilla buttercream.
Amy, this cake was a hit and delcious, too. It was fun to cut the little cake packages with everyone waiting around the table . . . and handy to send home a couple of mini cakes with the grandparents. Thanks for the beautiful, memorable and of course delicious cake for our son's first birthday! Now my daughter expects such a masterpiece for her birthday. . .
